This is the ONE. I can only concur with some comments below. BLOWS away the UK original single 33. SOOO much more expansive, deeper, richer, colourful and textured.

I dreamed this record into existence, thank me later! Srsly, having grown up on the 10-songs-a-side Columbia pressing I was always telling other EC fans this needed to be rereleased as a 2-LP version. And it doesn't disappoint. It's really like a new album. I think EC kinda wanted that shitty compressed sound on the original bc he was trying to stay true to a certain retro sound. But here everything breathes and is dynamic. A must for any serious collector.

Easily one of my favorite MOFI pressings of all-time. The organ benefited greatly from the half-speed mastering and 45 rpm treatment. It's breathtaking.

Get Happy! This 1980 release by Elvis Costello & The Attractions is a wonderful new wave album with lots of great songs. Elvis’ distinctive vocals carry throughout the recordings with the precise enunciation, distinctive phrasing and imioned emotion that he is known for and which have made his music so very popular. The Attractions back him up with tight, smooth, beat-driven music that is a perfect complement to his excellent vocals. The songs are generally upbeat and happy. Lyrically, the songs are full of Costello's signature word play. The songs are quite short (2-3 min) and are perfect little packages of danceable beat and harmony.
This Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab half-speed original master recording, pressed on a pair of 180g 45 rpm records, was beautifully mastered. It had a considerably better than average signal level (-3 dB) and was whisper quiet; with virtually no surface noise, clicks or pops. The recording has little or no dynamic range compression (average score of -0.2 as measured by DRC-Meter).
I love this album. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars!
