Yeah, it's not excellent by any stretch. Very little sub-bass, instrumental sounds lifeless, and the voices are hidden in the mix. The 2013 remaster sounds so much better. Not worth $30 at all. -

This US version is only in stereo audio while the similar Japanese version also contains a multi-channel audio besides the stereo mix.

Certainly the best-sounding digital version I have ever heard. Excellent soundstage and a very balanced overall sound. Vinyl is better again, but I have found this to be the case with all MOFI releases. -
Having gotten this prior to the 1 Step vinyl edition which i will likely add soon, i have to say this is the best digital version ive got. Betrer than my trusty 90's CD and other previous SACD. The instruments are just more alive but theres no negatives. The CD layer sounds excellent but the added depth on the SA layer takes it up. Wow inducing stuff. It makes me wish id not heard it many times before lol.

Very pleased with this version (#00031_) - just hit my mailbox today. Excellent imaging on "Life in the Fast Lane." Will need to listen to the title track a few times to confirm what I'm hearing, but it's good.
