Edited 11 months agoWow! This album is the very first stuff from LCDS that I heard...bought it based on the sound previews and the discogs reviews.
At risk of sounding over the top, I will say this is my idea of a perfect record. I agree with the quality assessment of this pressing...dynamic sound fading to black hole silence, a vinylphile's dream. Endlessly creative beats that never get monotonous or fatiguing (ok, I'm a bit old and fuddly-duddly) and the album ends brilliantly with an unexpected, plaintive nod to Wilco. The vocal performance here is a real hoot, with that oddball delivery boinging into and out of falsetto range, reminding me of what I love about the Cure and Scary Monsters-era Bowie. There is a delightfully shroomy vibe throughout this record, which sounds absolutely AWESOME through tubes.
I am privileged to own several killer-sounding vinyls, by AP, MoFi, some Hoffman masters, etc, and this album is right up there with the best of them. 5/5 both for pressing quality and artistic content. -

Edited 2 years agoI will echo others here in saying the sound quality is exceptional, and this record plays superbly. My runout has quite a bit of additional text though. Side a has [lightning bolt] DFA-2164-A DR ORANGE 221122 another chocolatey cut 41034.1 (3)...
Also, mine does come with the poster as well. -
sounds great, punchy mastering which really brings out the edge in this album's sound. minimal surface noise and all sides are pressed on-center. love the giant poster that comes with it too, it's nearly 2 x 3 feet lol

The lead-in groove on each side is impossibly short. I can almost never land the stylus on it without risking it scraping along the edge. Other than that it's a great pressing.

The easiest way to which US pressing is this, is by looking at the A and C side if the DFA and EMI logo are there. If not this is your pressing. Quality sound is outstanding btw, nothing to envy to the original from 2007.

The copy I just purchased seems to have the vinyl of this version but the cover of the original US pressing (above barcode it says, "Distributed by Revolver USA www.midheaven.com). Is this a more recent reissue? Flawless pressing, by the way.
