LCD Soundsystem – Sound Of Silver

La calidad de sonido es buenísima, buen rango dinámico y se distingue todo en la mezcla.
La presentación es buenísima, en gatefold, con una calidad de imagen excelente en todas las tapas. Algo que me sorprendió mucho es que el titulo del disco esta en un acabado metalizado tal cual a la edición de época y todas sus reediciones internacionales en vinilo. La única diferencia con la importada es que no vienen los discos en funda de papel, sino que en bolsa de plástico, y los inserts de cada disco en vez de ser fundas de papel son solo fotos.

Igualmente es una edición excelente y por su precio vale totalmente la pena.

Me olvide de aclarar algo, y es que las bolsas que guardan ambos vinilos adentro de las tapas son muy grandes. Tanto que incluso cuesta mucho volver a meter todo junto (discos e inserts) en cada tapa del álbum sin que quede todo super apretado. Quiero creer que soy el único al que le paso esto, así que solo le saque las bolsas internas al álbum y lo guardo así nomas. Es el unico punto negativo que le veo a esta edicion. Todo lo demas es un 10/10.

Slightly dusty coming out of the sleeve but other than that my copy sounds pretty much flawless. No surface noise or skipping to speak of.

Apparently I just received a bad copy, because mine has skips all over the track All My Friends. Disappointing because it’s one of my favorite songs on the album.

No surface noise. I love how bright and in-your-face the mastering is, sounds perfect, and the included poster is the cherry on top. 5/5

ordered a copy of this recently and had bad skipping on D7... like, real bad. sent it back and got it exchanged for another copy. after multiple wet cleans, the skipping is consistent w/ my replacement. all other tracks are A+++

As this cost me nearly £60 from HMV, I was definitely expecting something better than just a bog-standard double LP. The price of records these days is going through the roof: it's all these blumming hipsters!

Wow! This album is the very first stuff from LCDS that I heard...bought it based on the sound previews and the discogs reviews.
At risk of sounding over the top, I will say this is my idea of a perfect record. I agree with the quality assessment of this pressing...dynamic sound fading to black hole silence, a vinylphile's dream. Endlessly creative beats that never get monotonous or fatiguing (ok, I'm a bit old and fuddly-duddly) and the album ends brilliantly with an unexpected, plaintive nod to Wilco. The vocal performance here is a real hoot, with that oddball delivery boinging into and out of falsetto range, reminding me of what I love about the Cure and Scary Monsters-era Bowie. There is a delightfully shroomy vibe throughout this record, which sounds absolutely AWESOME through tubes.
I am privileged to own several killer-sounding vinyls, by AP, MoFi, some Hoffman masters, etc, and this album is right up there with the best of them. 5/5 both for pressing quality and artistic content.

SQ is phenomenal. Not going to knock the rating for this, but it's kind of annoying that this record is always a 4-sided pressing (2x2x2x3) when it could easily be a 3-sided (3x3x3) layout. One thing I always loved about the album is you can just play it through so beautifully, but having to stop and flip the record every two songs robs that a bit. Just the nature of the size and shape of the album, though. Still sounds incredible.
