Got the repress that was done in 2023, I suspect, and it's horrible. Even after cleaning, there is a lot of surface noise, pops, crackles, and it skips throughout. Maybe I just got a bad copy, but it sucks.

This double LP is something else. If you love records and APC, you need to get your hands on this release. The records are very dense 180g Vinyl, so they sound great and won't warp easily. And the mastering for vinyl is basically perfect imo. This is one of those cases where I believe the sound quality on the record is probably a bit better than the digital master. But that's just my opinion. Get this thing

Listening to mine right now. I've had it for 6 years, according to Discogs. Mine is super quiet, plenty of bass in the mix. Sounds phenomenal.
-
Mine isn't dead quiet at all. And there's distortion here and there. For a factory-sealed record that's a bummer
-
Sounds fantastic, which is kind of amazing since the first disc is slightly warped.
How do we end this trend of brand new out of the box warped vinyl? It’s a real piss off. -
I own this pressing and the first pressing of Mer De Noms and they are two of the nicest sounding records in my collection. They are the definition of DEAD quiet. Not a single pop or crackle. Warm sounding, too for American releases. Highly recommended.

Not a good pressing. It's noisy as can be and ruins the listening experience as this album is very atmospheric. Distortion is evident as well. For a solid listening experience, wet playing works well. But that isn't efficient. I've heard that the Music On Vinyl release is astounding, so that's on my radar to get.
