I have both the regular version and the deluxe, because I love this album. I originally bought the regular version, but decided I really wanted the deluxe for the extra art / packaging. Didn't expect it to sound different, but somehow, it really does. Maybe I got a bad press on my regular version, but the deluxe is so much more open and clear sounding.

And, I'm not usually one to care about packaging, but the art on this album is so cool, it's worth seeking out IMO. I ended up upgrading my copy of Villains to the Deluxe version too after seeing how cool this one was - and, actually, the Villans one is even cooler, despite the album not being as strong. Makes me wish they did a deluxe for ITNR.

This copy of Like Clockwork is a must-have for any QOTSA fan. After getting myself the disappointing 150 gram vinyl with flimsy cardboard that carried warped and scratched vinyls, this deluxe heavyweight 180 gram vinyl stored in thick heavyweight packaging is a deluxe upgrade. Quiet crisp sound on a flat vinyl. The way this album was meant to be listened to. Got this as a birthday gift for myself and it's worth every damn penny.

Turntable: Fluance RT82 High Fidelity with Ortofon OM10 Cartridge
Cables: Stanard RCA cables and speaker wires from Amazon

Dead quiet vinyl for my sealed copy that I just had shipped to Canada from . I even had to check to see if my volume was turned up. Lol. Gotta love Pallas pressings! I should mention as well....Chris Bellman did an amazing job on this IMO!

Pro-Ject RPM-1 Carbon, Ortofon Blue, Rega Elex-R, GoldenEar Triton 3's.

Tons of surface noise--constant noticeable pops and clicks--throughout both discs. What a shame because it's a beautiful album.

Wonderful package and presentation of all the power that is The Queens. I am sorry to hear some many reviews unhappy - yet see that the more recent are expressing better experience. All I can say is that I feel luck to have seen QotSA at the Forum in Los Angeles a few years ago and having this release on vinyl does well to capture the live experience. Maybe the finest rock band of the past 25 years or so. I enjoy the dynamics and power of this using a Dynavector 10x5/P75, Rega Planar 6, Halo 6, ATC SCM11s. Turn it UP!!! My only big complaint is 10-11 minute sides? C'Mon Man, I don't need that much exercise. ;)

I hear very few of the same issues that others are reporting, and I haven’t even treated this copy that well. I came here while listening to say that it sounds huge and fat and clean, and I’ll continue to enjoy for it as long as I can.

Not sure if I got lucky or what but my copy, purchased as a pre-order back in 2013 so first run, plays immaculately. I nearly always clean my records before I drop a needle on them. I don't recall what the vinyl looked like when first unwrapped but I find it pretty common in the modern era of vinyl to receive smudged, scratched or dusty bran-new vinyl so I've gotten into the habit of cleaning everything. I also am pretty religious about anti-static measures; I always use a carbon fiber brush and sometimes a Zerostat gun too, L'Art Du Son cleaning solution is said to have anti-static properties which I use on all my albums and store them in MoFi inner sleeves which are anti-static as well. So perhaps my fastidiousness is what led to my copy playing with virtually zero background noise, pops or cracks. Or maybe I just got a good one. I agree that this is a relatively low-gain pressing but that's easily remedied with cranking the volume a tad more. The dynamic range is quite good, doesn't sound compressed at all to me.

Again another report of a perfect record initially, huge sound, but after 10 plays or so on a high end deck it’s turned into an absolute clickfest. I’ve got it immaculate clean on my new ultrasonic cleaner and nothing has got any better. Something’s happened - I don’t know what, but it’s such a disappointment, so much so I sourced another 45rpm copy I love it so much.

Quality is quite poor, tons of crackling.
Sounds a bit too fast at 45RPM but way too slow at 33.
Packaging quality is good and the record looks amazing,

Overall pretty dissapointed. i am going to try to return it.
