I'm going to be perfectly honest: I like this album. Why? Because it's full of great songs that unfortunately are heavily burdened with crap. If you take away the uninteresting guest-singers, the horrid and awful raps thrown into tracks, and the confusing first 'segue', this would be a terrific album.

It has a remnince of the NPG hip hop flare from New Power Soul, with a mix of his other earlier 90's work (the album that comes closest in comparison, to me, would be the classic Gold Experience). And don't forget the incredible title track, which should've been released a decade earlier.

Of course a few tracks I don't pay much attention to, like 'Hot With U', 'Everyday Is A Winding Road', and 'Silly Game', but the rest is top quality I think (even the ballads, which I usually don't get into very often).

This is one of my very first Prince albums to own, and I can't call it a 'favorite' 90's album because Prince's 90's period is in my mind his best decade and nearly every album still beats this one (save for Chaos And Disorder), but let's face it, if Prince is going to release another dumpster worth of music like Lotusflower, I'll gladly stick with earlier releases.
