The NPG Orchestra was an instrumental ensemble established by Eric Leeds, and The Family band.

The first mention of "The NPG Orchestra" was on a Emancipation album, with another mention of the "Kamasutra" in the liner notes.

On 14 February 1997, commemorating Prince's wedding anniversary, the Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic in November 1999 (and the "twin" Rave In2… album in April 2001).
