First New Order release in absolutely ages that features - gasp! - NO WHITE WHATSOEVER in the sleeve art - either outer cover, inner sleeve or label. The music? Simply the long-delayed leftovers from 2005's 'Waiting For The Sirens Call' album sessions, and thus songs that don't even stand up to the likes of that album's highlights 'Krafty', 'WFTSC' or 'Turn'. 'Hellbent' (a new song which was not part of those older sessions) is the 'trailer track' that pre-empts this album's release, but sadly, it is just another of those forgettable, middling New Order-by-numbers tracks that further confirms my fears that this album is a continuation of the middle-aged yacht-rock that the [estranged] parent album featured with such abundance.

And yet - perversely, the one track that was previously released (I Told You So) appears here in a remix that pisses all over its older WFTSC namesake from 2005. It's a huge improvement on the rather iffy original.

Thank Christ that they finally returned to some kind of form with 2015's 'Music Complete' which had at least half a dozen decent songs on it. Ironically, this was when Hooky was no longer part of the group too, so how strange.

Excellent pressing. Punchy and dynamic and quiet as can be.

Can't understand the bad reviews. When it came out, I thought this one is better than the previous two albums "Waiting For The Sirens' Call" [2005] and "Get Ready" [2001] and the songs don't sound like outtakes at all. In fact, this album finally reconciled me with New Order as I really hated "Get Ready" so much.
It's funny how taste can differ sometimes.

The Lost Sirens lacked 2 or 3 more tracks to make it better. It is a grower. It will not impact you right away. Give at least 5 listens. The fact that the band had been in dispute with former mate Peter Hook seems to have cut the project short. If the Lost Sirens were just these 7 tracks, then alright. But if they weren't, blame it on Hook. I think the band had enough and pushed the release a little earlier from the maturity stage. This could have been worked better to be a full length classic New Order album. Now, Hook, keep playing "Love Will Tear Us Apart" (past, past, past...) on your gigs and just let New Order alone. It's just my impression and my opinion, please don't sue me for that.

Great press. Flat and clean. Giving it an A for package and B for music content

Most of these sirens should have stayed lost... New Order sounding very very eurodisco trash on most of the songs. Weird!

Good songs, but you can see why they were left off the album.
