The sound quality won't wow you, I'll say that first. The press quality is pretty good, it's possible to get near-mint copies that actually sound near-mint. The sound is mostly the fault of the tape used to make it. Includes the very rare US mixes of I Feel Fine and She's A Woman, and in high fidelity, probably the best source for a HQ example rather than hunting down one of the three or so 45s that never saw play.

hard agree with mucho, sounds brilliant! don't hesitate "MASTERED BY CAPITOL" isn't a slight, this slaps in every way!

Anyone else having pretty bad IGD/Sibilance on "Mr. Moonlight" ?

Can confirm that this absolutely craps all over the original. Not that the original is terrible, but it has sort of a tinny sound to it. This one sounds much more present and powerful.

Still confused if this is AAA or not but it sounds great nonetheless. They mention no digital step but then in the inners there is a picture of a high resolution digital archive. Not sure why, just confused by it. Sounds like they might be doing similar to MOFI but doesn’t matter to me, just confused by it. It says Digital Archive 32bit 192khz.

On side two, Honey Don't and I’ll Be Back are heavily distorted. Not sure if it's a bad copy or not

I recently bought this pressing and I gotta say that I was pretty impressed with how great it sounds

I have a NM stereo og of this and because of the added reverb and other problems it sounds terrible. This mono AAA cut sounds excellent with Ringo’s bass drum thumping loudly. I couldn’t be happier with this-especially for $30

For what it is, it’s Great. I bought this purely out of curiosity. I am Definitely not a fan of Any Capitol Beatles press, but this IS a major sonic improvement over the OG Capitol album, for sure. Nice cover and quiet vinyl.

Has anybody noticed that there’s a paragraph in the essay that’s repeated?
