Has anyone seen this on the front picture litho in very tiny print close to the Capitol logo by the sleeve opening. "OO LITHO IN USA T22228"? I was told this is a Pinckneyville Pressing. Just never seen that before. Just a mis-cut on the litho?

On my copy, one of the variants of the runout etching shows a T-1-2228-P5-P for side 1 (variant 1) and a runout etching of T2-2228-T8-P for side 2 (variant 6). What's the reason for this?

Does anyone have a mono 1st pressing with the date 12-18-64 etched in the deadwax ? I have one and I'm trying to see if it confirms it being a first pressing or if it's unique in any way. I know the lp was originally released on 12-15-64. Thanks to anyone who could help.

I know this album has the rep of being futzed with, but I really like this US mono 1st pressing. When I forget to switch over to mono on my Fisher 800C, it's not so good, but set on mono, it's really got that sound, that tube-cut Beatles sound, especially on old, mid '60's tube gear (My 800C was made in '64, so that mono phono preamp section really jives with mid-period Beatles LP's like "Help", "Rubber Soul", and this one). And this record dishes up a heaping helping of that Vox amp sound and Paul's bass. Great for people looking to sample the old mono Beatles vinyl sound, and it's certainly a hell of a lot easier than finding a clean-sounding UK pressing of ANY Beatles without spending huge money.
It would be cool to see a "Beatles '65" in the catalog of new mono LP's (I think they did one for stereo, but not the all-analog monos).
