Gojira (2) – Fortitude

My copy is flawless. No cracks, pops, very quiet surface noise. I saw some comments about bad copies, but mine seems great.

This pressing sounds like the audio was compressed and then the cuting head was powerd hydraulically through shrinky garden hose.

I listened to this album and now my face is permanently stank. doctors are at a loss

My copy has scratches on the first track on A-side (buyed sealed, never played before). I'm gutted!

Sounds clean, flat pressing. Dynamics are a bit compressed but better than 80% of my other metal albums. I dig it for a metal pressing.

The first copy I bought had three clicks at the end of Into the Storm. The second one is flawless.

No issues to report with my copy, vinyl nice and flat with no surface noise. Think it could do with better separation, espically with the drums, but overall I am happy I have this on vinyl.

Physically crooked vinyl, there is noise and a few loud clicks. The album itself is gorgeous! I took another copy to my collection.

Physically smooth vinyl, before that there was a black version - very crooked. Minimum noise, no clicks. Nice translucent color. The album itself is gorgeous! an excellent addition to the collection.

This album could have benefited greatly being pressed as a double LP. The sides are too long and it compromises the sound. Dynamically the mix is good, just quiet. Turning the volume knob helps but it also puts a magnifying glass on the imperfections of the vinyl of which there is a lot. I've vacuum cleaned it multiple times and there is still a great deal of surface noise present on my copy.

Looks like Gojira allocated an undisclosed amount of this pressing during their Mega Monsters tour with Mastodon and Lorna Shore. The cover is signed by the band but no shrinkwrap nor hype sticker is provided. The record itself plays really good. No noise or pops in playback, but they played even better live.

I paid 80 USD for this and its totally worth it, especially for seeing the cost of other signed copies going for online.
