Favorite

Profile:

German Shellac label launched by Favorite GmbH in 1905; also appears as Favorite Record.

Favorite Record was one of several labels manufactured in and marketed in England prior to World War I by the German-owned Fonotipia company, a subsidiary of Carl Lindström A.-G.

Around 1910, Favorite records entered a deal with the Brazilian firm Casa Faulhaber & Co. for the pressing of local recordings.

In 1913 the label was acquired by Okeh label.

In 1926, the Favorite label was discontinued, but some of its matrices were reissued under the Parlophon label.
