The Cinram Richmond, Huntsville & Anaheim (CMCA) clarification and tidy-up page

Hi, if you have received a forum mention in this thread, welcome, and I hope you help me in tidying up some of the U.S. Cinram plant label pages.

My goal is to either fix accidental entry typos, or confirm and document exceptions to the "normal" Cinram, Richmond, IN matrix.

Infrequently, I come across releases with a mix of CMCA matrices as variants, and the variants that need to be submitted as new releases will include a note as to which plant the new submission should credit.

I will occasionally ask for a scan of the matrix; if I do and you can, please add it to the release. The scans are sometimes to document the different Mastering SID and letter combinations, but also to document the exceptions (Duplicate date/cut combos, letter & Mastering SID irregularities, matrix errors, etc). Hopefully though I am just humbly requesting that you confirm the matrix information that you contributed.

For brevity in each post, please consider the following as part of each request:
1) if you no longer have the pressing I set the ping on, please reply letting me know so. Thanks!
2) if you do not have immediate access to the pressing I set the ping on, please reply letting me know so. I promise I will patiently wait until you dig the box out of the garage/storage unit next weekend. :D Thanks!

the Mastering SID should be L804, and you have a Cinram Huntsville pressing. :) And if that is the case, would you please submit your pressing as a new release?

It is starting to look like the client codes for CDs are different from the client codes for DVDs. I had not realized this when I first requested a scan. It's up to you. It's great information to include to the release, but it is starting to look like it should be normal.

It is indeed "L385", checked with strong magnifiers just now. No "IFPI" here, so will remain as variant 1, as var2 seems to have that. Also noticed while checking that I missed a trailing "N" in the first set of "C#".

As the Richmond plant did not normally have "IFPI" preceding the Mastering SID in the matrix, please do not add "IFPI" to the release page's Mastering SID entry when "IFPI" is omitted in the matrix.

So yes, "IFPI" was assumed for Variant 2. I have therefore "removed" variant 2.

Racer X - Second Heat? Specifically "0411.11-06" in the matrix. Typically the GMCN starts with a letter. A decimal in the number is new, too! Please add a scan of the matrix so that we can document the decimal.

Yes. The Mould SID print is small enough that the 6 can understandably be mistaken for an 8 or a 0.

I prefer 'Manufactured By' over 'Made By' for broker credits, but they are interchangeable.

I'm very sorry but I don't have the CD anymore. However from the scan I added at the time I can see that the first '0' as you suggest shouldn't be a numeral and may in fact be a 'D' or an 'O'.

It should be a 'D', but I was hoping for a confirmation from you. Terribly sorry to hear you no longer have that release in your collection. Thank you for replying back.

I think that the best would be for you to copy the JVC release to draft, and then submit the draft with the Variant 2 BAOI before removing your former "Variant" from the JVC pressing.

But that's because I think it's best to keep the information if at all possible, even if it has to migrate to a new pressing.

Thank you so much! The 5589 code is normally associated with Columbia House, so someone programmed in the wrong music club. I find it pretty funny that someone made that error.
