Edited 20 years agoI'm reviewing this album solely due to my ion for the song "Baja." The longest song on the album, stretching a near 12 minutes is fluttering beauty. It is one of those songs in which your afraid to breathe because you fear missing a single beat. If I was to have one song constantly playing as the backdrop or soundtrack to my life, this could be it. So meditative, calming and peaceful. Although some might not have the patience to sit through to the climax, those who do are greatly rewarded. It's like tantric. Sit back, dim the lights, close your eyes and feel yourself drift into places unknown.

One of Sasha's few forays into making his own music, and this is no exception to excellence. "Xpander" is a great track, reminiscent of the Bedrock (John Digweed) style used in "Heaven Scent". "Rabbitweed" and "Bellfunk" just add to the worth of this EP.

Utterly fantastic. I was even surprsied I hadn't commented on it earlier. "Xpander" is the biggie on here - on monster prog trance stomper, with an unforgettable synth line and just generally incredible production. "Belfunk" is my personal favourite, with an almost delicate, but also quite monsterous bassline, gurgling noises and THAT breakdown. Yes TIM, I understand why it's always in your box. Then we have the interestingly titled "Rabitweed", a tune of devilish proportions, real techno intensity going on here. And to finish off we have "Baja", which was apparently recorded at the Great Barrier Reef. As you would expect, it's an achingly beautiful piece that builds from ambient to euphoric. Everyone should own this.
