I don't care what anyone says, this album is iconic. Nirvana was a flash in the pan occurrence and their live in New York recording was perhaps their definitive album. Cobain's self effacement and the number of covers they performed paying tribute to their influences and those who they ired, but performed singularly as Nirvana, only underscore this amazing and truly unique abhorrence to fame and fortune. The pure artistry, the way Cobain wears his heart on his sleeve and pours all of it into his guitar and his vocals, never again has something like this occurred in pop culture. And it's not to detract from the other musicians on stage. Novaselic, Grohl, Smear, and let us not forget Lori Goldston on cello or the Kirkwoods. This is musicianship at its most raw and determined, fully felt and realized.
I fucking love this album. A long time and devoted fan of Nirvana, and this one just might be my favorite. And on vinyl, it's the only way I'll listen to it. -

Not very dynamic. If you can get a nice copy that's great but the record isn't anything to write home about. Not sure what the best pressing is.
