Edited one year agoMy copy of this pressing has the center spindle hole drilled off-center on Side A but then when you flip it over to Side B it is fine. Also slightly warped. Definitely NOT audiophile quality and that is really a disgrace for the Maestro Morricone and his Academy Award Winning film score. This soundtrack release totally reminds me of the soundtrack album vinyl release of 1973's "Electra Glide In Blue". Sticker on the front cover declaring 2 Posters and a Booklet. Electra Glide In Blue is one of my most favorite soundtracks for sure.

I really don't understand this rule of crediting a director or compiler as artist for a compilation ??
Tarantino doesn't write music, he compiles this release with assistents, he is NOT a musician & should not be credited here.
just my 2 cents.. -
Edited 5 years agoSound is very great but sometimes pops, cracks...tested 3 copies from 3 shop in the world...so all copies have same problem..
this pressing is not a audiophil pressing, i think that is exactly the same than Decca (GZ MEdia)
Nice sleeve, cover but not a very good press....what a shame because great sound...great sound but bad press -
Morricone's music for this film is great but this album is unlistenable for me. The dialogue thrown throughout the record really ruins the mood and if I wanted to hear that I would just watch the movie. The White Stripes song does not fit at all. I watching the movie and being distracted and annoyed and I really hoped it was not going to be on the record. I'd love a version of this with only the Morricone music on it.

i recently bought the award winning version (2016 i presume) and it did not come with a poster or the booklet, even though it states on the front that they are included! any thoughts? anyone get the same?
-
From an audio perspective only - has anyone compared the European press with the US press? Is there any significant difference noticed in the sound quality? For aesthetic reasons alone I have already ordered this version

Still no Decca limited edition added yet. I guess I'll have to fumble through myself. Y'all take it easy on me.

That's odd. The deluxe, limited edition Decca put out with the extra live performance has had darn good SQ reviews. Hmmmmm....
