I had a similar experience w/ pops and skips out of the package that others have mentioned. A run through the Spin Clean and those issues were gone. Plays quiet.
-
No problems on mine. Pressing is essentially silent, with majority of surface noise coming from the sampling of Mr. Jackson's records. Sound is quite good; dynamic and balanced.
-
Took a chance on a sealed one and I’m stoked. Sounds great, no skips like some of the other reviewers noted. Very pleased

Purchased with some hesitation considering past reviews, but I'm pleased overall.
Sound quality is great. Low sound floor. No pops or crackles that aren't by design. My only concerns are with the quality control: first LP had a very very slight warp, and the second LP had a label off center which contributed to a dangerously tight spindle hole. Once I wedged the sucker in, it was smooth sailing. Music sounds phenomenal.
Happy I rolled the dice. -
Pressing is great on mine as well, but very weird scratchy sound in the locked groove for all sides. Regardless, amazing album, amazing artist.
-
my copy contains the disc2 twice, and the replacement I was sent has was the exact same. one disc is cut very badly, with a splinter sticking out on the side. Plus all vinyl are well dirty and scratched. did I get a bad batch or is it like this for all?
-
I ordered this after seeing it on the Vinyl Deals subreddit, and was a little worried because the comment section was full of people saying the pressing was garbage, it skipped everywhere, it sounded terrible, etc. But I gotta say mine sounds excellent. If it helps I'm using a Denon turntable, with a nagaoka mp-110 cartridge, and I dusted/cleaned off the album before spinning it.

Edited 7 years agoPretty good record but this pressing is really bad. Skips on side 2 frequently and noticeably wobbles the tonearm back and forth. I do not think it's my turntables fault but rather that the grooves are very shallow. (similar to a lathe)
