One of the best Aphex Twin albums out there. A great introduction to his glitch-style-humor-drum-n'-bass. 'Come To Daddy' is an obvious classic and I can't listen to it now without seeing the video images...arghhhh. The two other 'Come To Daddy' remixes are fairly good too, unlike his Girl/Boy versions. 'Film' is a great short track with excellent textured notes. 'Buscephalus Bouncing Ball' is RDJ having fun with glitch drums and tinkles, wicked stuff. The best track on here is 'To Cure A Weakling Child, Contour Regard'. The original is a great track but this version is so perfect and sound so serious. It gets me moving!

This is definentely the more accessible cd Aphex Twin has put out --- as far as a wider audience goes. Songs like Come To Daddy with its industrial-aggro approach, and then there are songs like 'Flim' and 'IZ-US' which bring out the more simple child-like melodies with trippy breaks that RDJ loves to fluff around with. Of course the more Aphex sounding song in here is 'Bucephalus Bouncing Ball' with it's off the wall meldoy and IDM flair. The other closest track to his IDM, Abstract approach is the mummy mix of 'Come to Daddy'.

This album is amazing and is a great addition to Aphex Twin's line, but sadly it misinterprets his work and many people may come off assuming that this is his sound, when in fact it's almost a side-note release that went HUGE.

Get it if your a fan or like some diverse tracks, and if you want to get into the Aphex Twin stuff be sure to check out his actual albums.

      Overall an amazing release =)

Richard can do (and did) much deeper music. Also, he can do (and did) analogue music using his own instruments. This whole EP is completely digital computer experiment, like showing possibilities of what can be made with (again his own) software. Yeah, ComeToDaddy (with video) made a lot of people to become interested in AphexTwin, BUT THIS IS REALLY _NOT_ A REPRESENTATIVE RDJ's ALBUM, NOR SHOWING HIS EVERY ASPECT! There's a lot more to explore in his creations, including his strange ambient & noise & techno tracks from which none is on this album. But it doesn't mean that I don't like it - I really do ;-> , especially "Mummy Mix", which is the strangest (swapping instruments, making strange, un-understandable rhythm) - cause I like headphuq.
