For me Nas is the undisputed number 1, the GOAT. Who can claim to have made Illmatic? Even if haters keep trying to reduce him to that, I even think that he even managed to sur this album later on. An incredibly strong and unrivaled debut. Some of the most iconic rap songs of all time and a true who's who of the best producers of the 90s. Wow! The only thing I have to complain about on the album is unfortunately the sound quality, which was not quite ideal, especially with the songs that were created first.
