I don't have any other vinyl pressings to compare this to but it sounds somewhat bright and fatiguing to my ears. I'm guessing it's the digital mastering to blame. It is very detailed and quite punchy just a bit harsh. This is on a system that leans a little bit warm of neutral, for solid state gear anyway, so getting a cold, analytical playback tells me the recording is overly so. Maybe tubes could smooth off the top end.

Can’t believe no one has commented on this pressing. It’s actually really good. Might actually be the best version of the album. Great booklet included as well. Well worth owning. Ditto for the version of “An Innocent Man” from this same series.
