Theli achieved a near-perfect balance between the brutality of extreme metal and the beauty of symphonic orchestrations. This balance, considered by many to be difficult to achieve, became a standard for later symphonic metal bands. The album delves into complex themes such as alchemy, Kabbalah, and Norse mythology, offering a rich and deep narrative. This opened the doors to more literary and conceptual exploration within the genre. Theli's production is impeccable, allowing every detail of the music to be appreciated, from the heaviest riffs to the most delicate orchestral arrangements. This high production quality became a benchmark for the genre, setting a new standard for symphonic metal albums. This work inspired numerous symphonic metal bands, who took elements of its sound and aesthetic to create their own offerings. Bands such as Nightwish, Epica, and Within Temptation owe much to Therion's influence.

To be honest, personally I think this is a first symphony metal album, neither Within Temptation or Nightwish are originators of sym.. metal. .. this is a blueprint for whole subgenre
Wawrzeniuk´s huge, soulful, baritone voice on "To Mega Therion" (at first I though it was only Dano Swano who sang) then some lustful vocals on "Nightside Of Eden" I like how this album blend elements of choir, gothic, symphony metal and yet filling whole room with melancholy or dreaming.
Briliant, catchy bass lines by Lars Rosenberg.. Piotr´s precise drumming on "Invocation of Naamah" for the fans of sym.. metal MUST LISTEN
Although I do not like the production for keyboards.. other than this.. whole album is just great piece of music. Just put your headphones ON and press that BUTTON
