Surfaces are not particularly quiet, even after ultrasonic cleaning. Quite a few ticks and pops along the way. In of recorded sound, you can hear the age of the recording. It sounds like an old recording. But it does sound good! Loads of detail, enormous soundstage, percussion really pops. Outstanding separation of instruments. It is easy to understand why this became a famous recording. In of performance, it has the energy and bite needed to put the music across, but it does go slack at times.

Is this worth 40 bucks? I'd say yes, but it might be worth waiting for a different pressing to be reissued. I don't imagine that this pressing will be the last word on this venerable recording.

Is there more than one Speakers Corner version? I'm not impressed at all. Sure they have many excellent reissues, but not my pressing of España SXL 2020. The vinyl is silent, the sound is moody - maybe I'm exaggerating a little.

This sounds exceptionally good. I don’t have anything to compare this to other than the master tracks on Tidal, but this sounds far superior. What an incredible recording and the press quality on this version is aces!
