Edited one year agoA mixed result here in this release. Opening track Side A (Ring Ring Swedish) sounds absolutely horrendous. Sound quality then rapidly improves - though SQ varies track to track. Definitely superior to any other pressing I’ve heard - from the OG Swedish / German and DMM release. Vinyl is quiet, and I’m assuming this is an Optimal pressing, due to the Made in sticker. Artwork is washed-out; a common feature of the entire Abbey Rd series. Master tapes are in pretty ordinary condition, given the final result on this release. As good as it will probably ever get. -
Edited one year agoCompare to the very first Swedish pressing I also own in my collection, this new 1/2SM 45RPM Miles version is completely different league. Crispy, dynamic, balanced, lifelike sound.
For me this is real stomper and by far the best issue of all Miles Showell's 1/2SM releases of ABBA albums yet (second best for me is Super Trouper).
My copy is also dead silent, technically near perfect pressing.
Highly recommended!
