None of the material here is unreleased or 'lost'. Keepers of Johanna Martzy’s flame, Coup d’Archet, released VARA’s 1965 Ravel on their debut LP/CD COUP 001 in 1997. The Handel sonata first appeared on COUP 006 in 1999 and the Mozart sonata (from the same 1966 Berlin session) was the surprise additional disc in Coup’s collected Johanna Martzy Radio Recordings boxed set (LP and CD of course) of 2011. Finally the 1961 Van Otterloo Mozart KV219 was first released in 2014 by DOREMI on Johanna Martzy Volume 3 in their Legendary Treasures series of CDs. Just to rub it in, the Handel sonata also features on Deutschlandradio Kultur’s own Audite double CD set from 2015.
