Edited one year agoJust A/B-ed this with 63 Van Gelder and I dare say it holds its own for a sixth of the price. Can't part with my Van Gelder though so rare album I have to hang on to 2 copies of.
Perfect meeting of old era with new era jazz at turn of 60s -
Edited 2 years agoI was just thinking the same as kylemac here - I’m usually a bit averse to early stereo stuff (one instrument in one speaker..) but this works for me - sounds fantastic all round

This is a quality pressing that I mistakenly thought was an earlier print. Doesn't matter, as ABC and Impluse did a fantastic job mastering this. The sound is actually perfect, and the vinyl used is quite good.
