I keep going back to this album, touches me deeper than I will it to even myself. Thanks VMP for the recommendation.

I do not like the mix of this album on this pressing. Why is the guitar so quiet? Also really don't like the oversized jackets that VMP seems to be using now. The VMP version of this album is the antithesis of of the music on the record. Flashy, overdone for the sake of overdoing and unnecessary in every regard. They ruined a beautiful, simple thing with this version, hate it on every level

The packaging is the highlight on this release. It's interesting that VMP decided to package this as a gatefold record, as the gatefold is the front and back sides of the original sleeve, while the new sleeve is a standard black paper sleeve. I'm interested how nice a glossy sleeve from VMP would have looked like.
My personal copy of the record is slightly bowed, but not enough to affect playback. The record itself has great separation and sounds incredibly clean. It sounds just as good as my 1982 original pressing of the record. Either version works, but pick this one up if you want a gatefold copy and some cool artwork along with it. -
just opened and played only to hear horrible noise on the first track and the same even after washing vinyl.
does vmp know qc? #$$%%%^^&^^&&&&!!!!!!! -
I agree with zno74 that the mix is different. Bruce’s voice in the new mix is turned up higher and more prominent than in the original. His guitar is turned down. Not bad, just different.

Sometimes I let VMP curate my record collection, and this was one of those occasions. I am not a big Springsteen fan, although I own a copy of "Born in the USA" and listen to it fairly often. Before I listened, I was aware that this album was going to be a completely different thing. It's sort of like Dylan but with better singing and less inspiration. So it's good. ;)
The vinyl is quiet (quiet does not mean silent) and the record sounds very good. The whole album is beautiful to look at. Recommended even if I prefer other VMP rock releases such as Interpol, Modest Mouse, Spiritualized, and (especially) The Mars Volta. -
One of the most beautiful releases VMP has out there. The package is gorgeous and the extras compliment it well. The sound is so silent, and clear. Even if you're not a big fan of the artist or the album, listening to this on a analog media is such a different and amazing experience

All I have to compare the VMP to is a clean original. The VMP’s vocals are up front and have a little more echo. It sounds muchI different than the original but not necessarily in a bad way. The original has always sounded fine to my ears but, if you are a diehard fan of Nebraska then check out the VMP.
