30 year anniversary. Time for a repress that doesn't cost >$100!

Mastering on this is aces. It sounds so good! Press quality is excellent as well. Zero sibilance, inner groove noise, etc...

Just picked this up. What an incredible sounding album, the music just wraps itself around you.

Just a beautiful pressing, was lucky enough to score a sealed copy for a few shades under the Discogs median price and the virgin spin was amazing. Rich and warm, a real treasure of an album both in physical form and in content.

Anyone else have this and can just barely make out the matrix info? I see none on album one. It does have the insert however. Really excellent sounding pressing however.

A shambling achievement, a document of the end of the suburbs, prosperity, prom night, Western heroes, riding with the boys, and “the dream” — Lou Reed made a false prophet when he seemed to promise that your life would be saved by rock and roll, just like Jenny's was. Which doesn't detract from the rock and roll: hear the bracing crustiness of Neil’s beloved Gibson and Marshall stack, and how Crazy Horse make some of the grooves to feel rickety and solid at the same time. (I don't know if Old Black has ever had better tone, or enjoyed more prominence in a mix.) The cheap-sounding arrangements, transient characters, recurring lyrics, recycled music, and evocations of the American mallscape make it sound fresh even thirty years later. It still speaks to the condition of thrift-store kids and the homeless, almost as well as Beck's "Mellow Gold" does. And as a Christian I know love can do a lot more than Neil thinks, but as a convert I also know the shock of finding that the hole in your heart is bigger than the world. "Rust Never Sleeps" is unbeatable, especially side 1, but “Sleeps With Angels” ties with the similarly creaky, carpentered “Time Fades Away” for my second-favorite favorite Neil Young record.
