Edited 7 months agoI'm happy for the reissue but the original 1990 LP isn't chopped liver once you turn it up.

This is being ressued as part of a box set coming in July 2023 hopefully it will get an individual release soon too.
-
With a good cart and fine or micro line stylus, crank this to 11 and it will blow the cd out of the water.

While I agree with most comments on this pressing lets not forget the music and I would buy a official repress in a heartbeat. Not a loser on this album.
Yes mine has some surface noise. Pressing has some punch and the guitars are crunchy, drums and especially cymbals sound good.
In my estimation it sounds just like the pic on the cover, just as it should be! -

I got my copy for $15 bucks at Antone's in Austin, TX in the early 2000s for a cool $15 bucks (VG copy with light surface noise) and it sounds surprisingly awesome for having such insanely long sides, as JeffWill50 points out (how the hell was this not a double LP?!?). Still, this one is begging for a proper edition.

Edited 7 years agoBefore paying between $100-$200 for a clean copy of the original LP keep in mind that there is over 34 minutes of music on side A and over 28 minutes on side B. Dynamics are poor. This is one of those cases where the CD sounds better.
