My experience with MPO pressed vinyl in 2025 is their pressings are filled with dust and dirt. Always assume they're filthy (especially MPO) until the record gets a nice cleaning, or even two. An anti static gun wouldn't hurt either. Do they press their records with the windows open? -
Edited 2 years agoSounds surprisingly great for a budget Walmart release. Really full and sharp sound. Punchy but warm bottom end. Well done! Color of vinyl is um… interesting. -
Track listing on the back is in incorrect order. Says Captain Jack is track 1 and title track towards the end of the album. Inner sleeve has correct listing however. -
Really great pressing. Liking how nice the color turned out on my copy with a kind of rust swirl on yellow translucent design. Had a bit of surface noise at first, but after a few more spins it's all gone away and is now silent. -
This pressing is phenomenal! The sound is really fantastic and the dynamics are spectacular. The vinyl is flat, clean, and silent. The "tan swirl" color is a little odd, but mine looks pretty cool and largely transparent. The bass and drums are punchy and Billy's piano sounds like a... carnival! (Oomph... apologies.)
New pressings of Billy's albums are hard-to-find these days and this release truly does not disappoint. After hearing about the disastrous box set I was hoping we would get some well-pressed standalone releases and Walmart does not disappoint! If you're on the fence, pull the trigger—this pressing is perfect for the price and sounds great. Don't hesitate or Billy will disappear again! -
The sound quality on this release is pretty spectacular!
Good thing too because there are not many releases to choose from.
I think they must have ran out of tan swirling because my copy is mostly just tan.

I think the color turned out ugly as sin, but this actually sounds pretty nice to my ears. Pretty detailed and good sound.
