Notes
Late 1990s first US pressing and light yellow spine, but it has slightly lighter red labels and a smaller stamper ring which intersects the Wu-Tang Records logo.
It also has the same "single line" Wu-Tang Records logo like the original US and EU releases; in the seperation it only has 'wu-tang', whereas a part of the reissues has a "double line" 'wu-tang clan' in the logo. At this moment all reissues that do have the "single line" Wu-Tang Records logo display a lesser detailed i.e. blurred logo where 'wu-tang' and 'records' are practically unreadable e.g. the MOV and Legacy reissues.
Direct Metal Mastering
Contains numerous samples from the 1981 Hong Kong film "Shaolin & Wu Tang" (English dubbed version)
Produced, mixed and arranged for Wu-Tang Productions
Recorded & mixed at Firehouse Studio, NY, NY
Edited by GLC, NYC
Mastered at The Hit Factory, NYC

Yes, just like every other version of this album pressed on a single disc, it’s going to sound quiet and compressed. However, this has the DMM in the runouts, which are the same as the original pressing, and it BANGS once you turn it up. Sure, it’s not the most dynamic thing I’ve ever heard but please just crank it LOUD. This pressing keeps the grittiness of this masterpiece, if you want a cleaner, “deeper” sound go pick up the 2LP VMP version. As for me, this is about as good as I need the Wu to sound.

My copy of this reissue sounds atrocious. Purchased new about 12 or 13 years ago. It's riddled with non-fill issues, and is super noisy.
