so so good
i love miles electric period , but this remix / reworking takes it to the next level. i can only imagine miles would love it
on the lookout for the vinyl as well but the CD sounds ace -
Edited 12 years agoLaswell really got inside Miles' music to put this release together, as a snapshot of the 69-74 era it works well, and the mixes have been reworked effectively, Laswell clearly brought his dub sensibilities to the low-end, needs to be heard loud, with full bass extenstion, especially Black Satin/What If/Agharta Prelude Dub. This is a good release to start with if you are stepping into Davis' fusion material for the first time, and even if you are familiar with the material, still well worth a listen in this context.
