Notes
This is the "clamshell" housed release of this Franklin Mint Record Society release. There is also a separate simple "slip-cased" edition available.
The runouts end with a "Franklin Mint Trident"-like symbol. It looks like the letter "M" bisected by a "T". From sebfact ( of Forum thread Common runout groove etchings: how to list them (Version 8)) "The Mint's U.S. pressing facilities are Presswell in New Jersey and Europadisk in New York. Just named for Canada is CRC in Toronto." At this point, since there are no specific identifiers on the set as to where it was released at, since it was purchased through Franklin Mint in Philadelphia, it is _assumed_ to be a U.S. release and therefore pressed by Presswell in New Jersey.
Originally recorded in the Sofiensaal in Vienna, Aug-Sep 1971 and issued under OAS 26266/26267 The Eighth Symphony (Symphony Of A Thousand). First performance Aug 30, 1971. Original recording tape courtesy of London Records.
Originally produced by David Harvey & engineered by Kenneth Wilkinson & Gordon Parry. This release by The Franklin Mint Record Society _may_ have been remastered (no notation is given in the accompanying notes) but is simply being listed as a "reissue". Because this release was available "by subscription", it is also being tagged as "limited edition".
