Die Wiener Sängerknaben

Profile:

Die Wiener Sängerknaben (Vienna Boys' Choir, also The Vienna Choir Boys) is a vocal ensemble established by Maximilian I of Habsburg on 7 July 1498, based in Vienna. In 1924, the Vienna Boys' Choir was officially founded, and it has evolved into a professional music group. The choir is a private, not-for-profit organization, there are approximately 100 choristers between the ages of ten and fourteen, based and educated at a boarding school. Due to the excellent training many former have established a soloist musician career later on.

Please note that Die Sängerknaben Vom Wienerwald (Boys Choir of the Vienna Woods) is not an ANV of "Die Wiener Sängerknaben", but an entirely different choir.
