All I can say is WOW! Stunning separation, wide soundstage, flat, perfect vinyl, proper low end, I am ecstatic. I reckon it’s between this and Out to Lunch for the best BNC I own.
-
Exceptional pressing! Bass is a little bit pronounced but other than that the sound is detailed and dynamic. instrument separation is great and the pressing is dead silent. Highly recommended!

My copy is clean, glass flat and very dynamic with enough depth ,detail and ambiance for most listeners .
It has a full, warm, rich and expansive sound that most of the editions of this series seem to carry in spades.
The only concern via my system is that I can clearly hear the horn sections "clipping" on the louder parts of
the recordings causing some distortion. The set-up has been the same for the last few vinyl reviews (cartridge fitted double checked & aligned to the usual standards) with no distortion issues so I`m saying it`s the recording/pressing/mastering for now,if I discover anything different to my finds concerning this I`ll amend it to reflect it!
Even with the slight distortion on the horns(only on some tracks!)this is still a KILLER LP and you may well not have this
issue in your own set-up - Recommended Five Stars thank you for reading.

My Page One Blue Note Classic, thankfully, has no issues. I purchased this copy today, brought it home, gave it a Spin Clean, and I'm on my fourth listen. Beautiful music, amazing vibe, excellent pressing quality. Very happy with this purchase.

My copy is stellar. The classic series is always great here. I would add that they have to be be deep cleaned I use a vpi vac and scrub with enzyme cleaner then rise then into ultrasonic then out and vpi rise and scrub again. There are some Many pollutants in residual on most new pressings. Solvents, lubricants and stray dust and vinyl matter. It’s the nature of the beast. Can’t tell you how many rti pressings sound pops and clicks and even after this processes first play through has bunnies on the Lyra kleos sl micro ridge stylus. After that play it’s glass. My opinion is these sit out on spindles in the factory. All the particles in the air and left over
From press get embedded in. Crap has to be taken out. And like I said pressings that sound crap become black as night. If one doesn’t get It out It never comes out after a couple of plays. So it’s worth the work upfront.
We do big critical listening here on a serious rig
This release is demo dessert island good. My copy flat as A Pancake centered. Kevin grey does yoeman’s work on these rvg masters are live mixed so the relative volume of instruments changes during the track so there can be a hat seems like drop outs etc. that’s the nature of rvg and there is no better. The sheer volume of the most important jazz record with his name on them. Fantastic in mono or stereo. I gush.
The sound stage, dynamics and piano is more forward than most rvg. Love rhis. I take this out to demo regularly. One love A -
Listen to a pressing from the 60s. You'll never play the Classic Vinyl Series pressing again. Not engaging, no depth and little "weight" to the sound of the instruments.
-
Mine has pops esp on s1 but the music is so smooth & creamy. That's what she said.

My copy came with the centre hole cut weird. Basically there's an extra bit cut out with the hole - as a consequence I have to centre it on the turntable the right way otherwise it wows. A couple of annoying ticks at the start of side A too, but on the whole I am happy with it.
The music itself is amazing. -
I got a perfect copy, sometimes you get lucky. Anyone know why McCoy Tyner's name isn't written on the cover, it says "/ETC". Strange?
-
Le son de ce B.N. est dingue. Quel plaisir à l' écoute. On a envie de monter le volume....
Coup de coeur pour Out of the night.
