Edited 2 years ago'File Under Ambient' finally has been filed under ambient - just a moment ago. I already have some of the songs on 12" , but this compilation just could not fail in my collection, it's a must have. Leading ambient music from early 90's - every tune on it is a hit.

Phenomenal collection of music from the early 90's. This compilation proves very concretely that this was a superb era of creative and deeply emotional music making. The more celebrated names contributing speak for themselves, and their offerings are as excellent as you would expect. The less well known names also contribute some immenses tracks, with David Morley's "Calibration" being a particular favourite of mine. This is a record to be cherished if you like your music to expand your mind in a very good trippy way. Huge.

Officially the release was titled Apollo 1 (check the old R&S/Apollo site as reference), but because of the sticker and lack of a true visible name on the cd/record, it was later known as the "File Under Ambient" comp.

I don't know if this was meant to be the title (although I leaning towards "yes") but on my copy, it had a sticker that said "File Under Ambient". Most sites I've seen which mention this release seem to think that this is the title.
