The first disc features the 2016 remaster of the original album, while the second contains a selection of bonus tracks from the 2008 CD Deluxe Edition, never previously released on vinyl, as well as two previously unreleased demos of 'Border Song' and 'Bad Side Of The Moon'.
All runouts are hand-etched, the plating marks are hand-etched and mirrored.

Discs are flat and surface noise is kept at a very decent level. Side 1 of the first disc gets quite distorted past the two first cuts. No problem with side 2. -

First disc is flawless but second one(demos and extras) has some scratches and has dirty , is anybody out there same with me ? -
Excellent pressing except for an annoying “tick” for almost a minute at the beginning of the Side 2 (tiny scratch from the factory). The bonus disc of demos is perfect and with no surface noise at all. I haven’t even cleaned it. My copy was purchased in Canada and had no hype sticker or code. Just the 12”x12” insert. -
Recent re-issue had a sticker indicating it was cut from original analog tapes. Is this also ?

Edited 4 years agoBought mine from Denmark. card worked fine - separate zip files for each disc and CD-quality WAVs.
Sound quality from the first LP is really good, although my copy has some light surface noise during the last track on side one (seems to be a stain on the record associated with the crackles and that’s after wet cleaning so I’ll try an Enzyme clean). The second disc sounds fine, given that it’s mainly filled with demos.

My U.K. purchased copy came with a card and hype sticker. However, the is only of the second disc, not the main album. I have raised this as an issue with The Sound of Vinyl. -
Edited 4 years agoUS does not get card or have hype sticker. Quality of pressing on the first LP is flawless,not one pop or tick. LP two on the other hand is ticky and poppy through out. This is even after a cleaning with the VPI and then other clean in the ultrasonic. I say either wait for the gold single LP release on 10/30/2020 or buy the single release from 2017 that is the same mastering as this and the one coming for 17.99 us and be happy.

Mine had no hype stickers nor did any at either of the 2 local stores also no card am I the only one with this issue.
