This 180 gram pressing sounded amazing to me. Before playing, I cleaned the vinyl and moved it from the paper inner to a poly lined sleeve for protection against static and scratches. From an audio standpoint, it sounds awesome. Flat and quiet with no surface noise. The gatefold and liner note sleeve are true to the 1982 original release. To obtain the best audio results, calibrate your turntable’s tone arm. Avoid those cheap suitcase 🧳 players. Play on a real turntable!!

Edited 3 years agoMarch 2022, Just completed a 3 way comparo between an original 1982 pressing (no MJ co producer credit), this 2019 US pressing, and a 1982 Japanese reissue. The original US 1982 is my favorite, followed by an excellent and super close Japanese reissue 1982. Both of the 1982's offer super sound quality and would satisfy everybody. Especially on Beat It and Billie Jean, you can notice that the 2019 is more set back, less details, less energy. Comparatively this 2019 reissue sounds a little withdrawn, lacking detail and less spacious and doesn't jump out at you the way the 1982's did. The original 1982 US gets my vote for having a little bit more presence, upper end delicacy and detail that are slightly missing in the Japanese press. Japanese press gives off a tiny bit more bass energy, but not enough to compensate for the superior US 1982. There are no 'bad' pressings here, just splitting hairs for one of the all time greatest albums on the planet!!

Sonido bastante interesante. Copia sin ningún problema y prensado muy bueno.
Por su precio de $20 de esta reedición yo lo recomiendo.

My MPO stamp is 21 199014 but there are no versions or releases showing up for 2021.
Possibly a repress of the 2019 version? Anyone else have a MPO stamp 21? -

(I no longer own this pressing.)
Do I even have to say anything? It's fucking Thriller, one of the greatest albums ever made, of course they wouldn't skimp out on this release, which sounds very full and clean. Dead silent too. -
Great sounding reissue I can't compare it to another release because this is the only one I have but it sounds great on my system
