Without doubt the most minimal & alienating album yet from MICK HARRIS's LULL project. And yet this album delves into the very place which influenced him to start his 5 album journey to this point - the radiator ambience of early DAVID LYNCH films - sounds many of us would not notice as we along our way, but which some celebrate in records such as this. I believe there are 100 tracks, dropped in at random, throughout the hour's age - the only step towards a more minimal sound would be to remake JOHN CAGE's 4'33".
But then Mr. HARRIS would never consciously create an inferior recording, and this one - as lacking in compositional variation as it may be - is still a journey worth taking. Deep thunderous tones rise tsunami high and maintain their height until the next, more peaceful sonic stretch appears. This album is like travelling across flat landscapes without much variety in the way of hills or mountains, but a continuous metamorphosing of feeling - different areas, different light, different accents, all variations on a set central theme. The sounds themselves - I assume were a combination of location recordings and electronic processes - change gradually, taking us on a gentle ride through tones and drones with plentiful variety.

Perhaps the lack of mystery to these recordings - there's no depth beyond that which is obvious, no hidden corners for the listener to search, no plaster to scratch away and reveal strange hidden sigils - makes this more a collectable addition than an absolute must, but it is still a worthy recording and probably easier to listen to late at night when you want something which is simple and lacking in challenge.
