Scorn

Profile:

Electronic project from Birmingham, England, UK. Formed in 1991 as a duo project of former Napalm Death Mick Harris and Nik Bullen. In their early years Scorn was often associated with industrial and experimental music. After the departure of Nik Bullen in April 1995, Scorn became a solo project of Mick Harris, and the music mostly offers minimalist beats with deep bass lines, often resembling dub and trip-hop in structure.

Project was stopped in May 1997, but started again in March 2000. Then it was stopped for the second time in November 2011, but officially started again in January 2019.
In June 2022 Mick Harris teased a new Scorn album with guitars by Justin Broadrick. But in August 2023 Mick Harris posted an update that "Scorn is dead" again since late 2022 and "it was a bad mistake bringing it back after I stopped it in 2012". So the last Scorn performance was on October 1 2022 at the venue "Golden Cabinet" in Shipley, UK. In his Instagram post from December 19 2023 Mick confirmed that "Scorn is dead long dead".
