Yes, just listening to this one - absolutely no complaints re. audio quality. Flawless pressing and mastering. Sturdy gatefold sleeve and plastic inners, plus Prince biography sheet in Japanese. The whole package is apparently a very faithful replica of the original Japanese issue.

I'd pay 100 bucks for this... and buy a back up copy for another 100
I love these mixes.
A'll Y'all not digging it are bent. -
Edited 4 years agoI have no clue what all the complaints are about. This has definitely not been thrown together. This is a great pressing & mastering, the whole package has been done really well. No crappy paper inners, so no scuffs or static.
Lacquer cut by Kevin Gray @ Cohearant, one (if not the best) mastering engineers in the business. It sounds great, and he definitely does not just use any old mp3 that lying about.

Edited 6 years agonot sure if the miss-print is on the original but this list corvette as the dance mix on the sleeve but as the album version on the label. also it isn't the fresh dance mix of pop life but the far superior uk 12" mix that runs at 9 mins. also to note erotic city does not have the error at the start that is on the purple rain deluxe cd.

Edited 6 years agoDon't waste your money...! What you're seeing here is a blatant fan exploitation. The point is that the 1985 original is a high-standing Japanese pressing from the heyday. But this thing here is just a chap replica, pressed in rushed mass production somewhere in Europe. The music is compiled from some files that were just at hand (You may expect the same failure at the beginning of "Erotic City" as occurred on "Purple Rain Deluxe" 2 years ago). Then the "WRECKASTOW" sticker... sorry but the context to this term belongs to the movie "Under The Cherry Moon" (1986) and definitely doesn't belong here. That means you'll store a fata morgana on your shelf; a illusion like Carmen Electra's new cups size. some may like it but the bottom line remain: it's fake ;-) Edit/PS: no 'intense hate' just explain the facts.
