This is one of the best Shorter records IMO, wonder why it was shelved back on 1965, but not released until 1980..
Tone Poet treatment is 10/10 -
Dynamic and delicious. The toms sound so good. It’s like an idealized version of real - everything sounds natural but also can be heard clearly.

Wow! Yesterday I was so disappointed by that awful tone poet release of duke - Mingus - Roach record
But this one is outstanding!
Hancock and Chambers playing are sensational
A must have -
Have never felt more compelled to review a release. Incredible music. Incredible pressing. Will cherish for a long time!

Great album, not sure why they waited so many years for the first release, since the recording.
Drums has an outstanding presence, very detailed and great instruments separation. -
The fantastic and brilliant Wayne Shorter, a superb line up of excellent musicians an original analogue pressing by Blue Note for the Tone Poets series. If you know of anything else that represents musical heaven, buy it. Audiophile heaven as well for that matter!

It’s just wonderful to listen this masterpiece in this stunning quality. The Drums are fantastic! All is well balanced and dynamic. It’s my 12th Tone poet and they are all phenomenal. I could spend 50€ for all record with pleasure if they was with this quality pressing.

Pulled this out for a listen tonight and in hindsight what a stunning introduction to the Tone Poet series this record was!
This is a record with a subtle yet persistent beauty to the composition and playing and this pressing really shines in presenting the dynamics and clarity of the recording.
Superb.
