Great album. Sadly some surface noise especially on the B side, even after an ultrasonic clean. Otherwise, pretty quiet pressing and really lovely music. -
My copy of this came with an 11-track Erased Tapes compilation cd in a card sleeve. Does anyone else have this?

Saw some of their songs on You Tube recently I truly had never heard of the group...So I ordered this up and it is a tad on the slow musical side of the coin...Not really what I expected but a pleasant listen...Think it world be fine on a rainy dark and dank day as you spin some VINYL...Problem for me is I live in a desert and I'll not have many of THOSE days ahead... -

I was aware of the original Penguin Cafe Orchestra and was intrigued to hear this new album. Definitely of a classical bent but with more than a nod to the Ambient style developed by Brian Eno and others. My first foray into Penguin Cafe proved to be a very enjoyable experience. There's really nothing you could object to on the album, with two ways to listen. Let it wash over you and submerge you in what will certainly prove to be a relaxing and "chilled" experience, or immerse yourself and concentrate on all the many hidden complexities. Perfect for a Sunday chill out.
