Don't Hold Back! (Instrumental) is a bouncy, feel good, fun and an eternal instrumental UK hip hop / breakbeat / hip-house classic. Whatever the heck you'd like to file it under! The mix with the rap is rather unnecessary though, really is.
Do What You Want To was quite a big pirate radio track. The lyrics and anything goes style of relaxed, hippy, happy, cheeky rhymes are rather amusing. Subject matter includes getting drunk, going to the zoo, hotties to chicken sandwiches. Not something I'd choose to listen to at a full on rave environment per se but good innocent fun nonetheless.
"Bus' It" is THEE standout track for me. This one though, not the remix from 1991 which became massive and seemed to take most of the headlines. They went a touch too overboard with the scratching on that one I think. Anyway, this mix just epitomised the Blapps! Posse for me. Raw, to the point, slightly out of synch galloping freestyle beats, big bad 808 bass on the drums, a bit of scratching, well chosen samples and a blaring dirty as scum acid type synth which provides the main signature of the track. Rough. -
Bus It (It's Time To Get B'zy) (The Final Message) is quite simply one of the best ever Rave/Hardcore/Breakbeat tracks ever produced. This track has it all, serious bass, quality samples, serious progression, so many twists and turns and it just keeps getting better as it plays out.

Classic UK breakbeat... Don't Hold Back was caned on London pirate radio stations as was Bus' It. Scratching, hip hop like beats, edgy acid sounds + more than a few samples... all done very well & will make you nod your head.
Showing it's age a little now but it's a decent old skool piece at a reasonable price. Two nice tracks for a small outlay, go for it! -

pretty sure the keyboard sample on do what you want to is from Soul Kitchen by The Doors - its been chopped and sped up but reckon its the one.

OK question...On "Bus'it" what and where the hell does the looped sample, in for the first time from 0.59 till 1.11, come from? I'm not talking about the "Listen' up!" but the percussive sound that accompanies it, I'm not even sure its a sample from another source because as the record progresses it gets broken down into a scratch...but any ideas are welcome, also has it been used in anything else cause it deserves its own track?? -
Edited 13 years agoAbsolutely massive old school hardcore / breakbeat tune, acid riffs, break beat beats, scratching, vocal samples, and a huge bass line, make this a really great tune. The Final Message Mix is the one in my opinion. Have a listen !! Great Tune !!!

This is worth having for track B2 which was very popular on pirate radio at the time. It consists of the looped breakbeat intro from Love Unlimited's 'Love's Theme', overlaid with some string stabs, the looped sample 'Bus it, it's time to get busy and...', some scratching of the phrase 'Kick it live now' and topped off with some mad 303 style Acid excerpts. Very funky and heavy on the bass kicks. -
Edited 18 years agoBefore there were the Plump DJs...before there was Icey...before there was The Bassbin Twins, there was The Blapps Posse (later to become the Freestylers). The definitive mix of this track is only found on this release. "Bus It (The Final Message)" goes straight for the throat with an enormous bass drop that must be heard on a massive sound system to be truly appreciated. This version sports a juicy breakbeat complimented by a fine smattering of just-in-time vocal samples topped off with wicked scratching. A whopping funky tune indeed...strictly for the heads.
