This NEEDS a repress. It's the only main Arca release that's out of print, and this is such a shame because it really is one of her Best. I can't pay anything in the ballpark of $400 for this like some are asking but a repress would be amazing. -

Very interesting blend of samples used here. Broke Up, for instance, applies Maurice's - "This is Acid" synth line to great effect. -

Arcas best without a doubt.
The music is quite upfront and impetuous from the very beginning, it arrives as a slap or a shout. The predominance of deep basses and thick beats come brutal and bodily speaking, like some organism twitching and itching in its bizarre contortions.
The rhythms an ode to syncopation and crazy distment of tones and notes, yet it does preserve a succinct rhythm that is like agum in this contour of round sounds, colorful sequences and organic atmosphere.
Dark and dense, Stretch 2 appeals to fulfill its promise, to stretch the boundaries of what is supposed to be. This is quite interesting, considering how the author developed later and to what extent in this marriage of extreme audiovisuals and avantgardistic music.
Its sum is some sort of dark hip hop totally insane, twisted in form, psychedelically deranged but with some strange sense of rhythm that engulfs the listener.
"Meditation" and "Manners" have some sort of sedative function after the whole intense aural ordeal. These two pieces preserve less from the previous first half pace and more of a contemplative ambient like feeling with its more linear cadence and velvet synthesis. "Manners" is the fruit in the top from this demented cake, mercurial piece of also ambient like speculation.
This Ghersi guy isn't afraid of going wherever his mind and body demands him to, his music is a testimony about it.
Coilesque...

Absolutely brilliant. A unique mix of hip hop, electronics and a very deep artistic pursue. -

i dont think you can get much more experimental than this and still be making some of tightest rnb/trap headbangers out there.
