Excellent pressing. Minimal surface noise on my copy, preserving the album’s stripped down atmosphere. A clear (see what I did there?) winner.

A little bit of surface noise on the first track but nothing to take away from the experience that is this album.

I disagree with the comment below. I decided to take the risk and purchase it. The quality is garbage, there is a lot of crackling noise, the mastering does not sound good either. I suggest to avoid this LP and stick away from GZ press releases.

I don't get the negative reviews. Clean your records, that will eliminate most of the noise, which are there, but barely bothersome. The sound is incredible especially for a digital modern album. High clarity, barely any compression, and wide dynamics. Really surprising quality. Great job by Mandy Parnell

Great album - poor quality pressing. Unbelievable how hard it is to get GOOD new pressings lately. Poor quality control. Not sure what plant pressed this, but even after a wet clean still audible surface noise. Some clicks and pops are totally fine for vinyl - NOT this constant noise. Shame.

Gotta say i was a little apprehensive after receiving my copy and realizing it was a GZ press that was previously not listed on here, but after listening to it and reviewing the rather bad reviews on the optimal/parnell pressing of this 10th anniversary clear edition, maybe the GZ generic cut is actually the winner here? Record is nicely pressed, minimal noise and distortion, pretty quiet in the quiet parts, which is critical for this album. Weird that no one had listed it yet - check your runouts people! And if it has a made in czech sticker, it’s GZ, not Optimal lol!

My copy sounds fantastic. Don't have time just yet for a formal variant edit, but wanted to put out there that my runout includes "MANDY PARNELL BLACK SALOON"

If this was a loud album i wouldn't notice the surface noise. Unfortunately you know XX is very stripped down. The noise is not loud but very present

My copy plays flawlessly. Quiet and dynamic pressing. I feel lucky!
