If you're still planning to buy the record, I would buy this one. The original had this really confusing packaging with a poster built in AS the cover, with the record sleeve inside it. Save yourself the trouble. This sounds great.

'Zin2 Test5' melody at 0:42 sounds like its very inspired by the airy melodic part at the beginning of Resistance D's 1992 track 'Cosmic Love'. Any why not? Its a legendary track track.

man this pressing sounds really good. bass is deep, and no surface noise at all. im honored to have this limited edition clear one.

Poor pressing quality, as per usual via Optimal. A lot of stitching on my copy, very audible. I really wish Warp would find a new pressing plant (they've had a longstanding relationship with Optimal, which produces the worst pressings currently), everytime I buy something from them against my better judgement there is some significant audible QC related issue (scratches, deep scuffs, non-fill, stitching). Really frustrating.

I bought this for four bucks off the bleep store. Digital sounds flawless, although slightly Warped. Decent release, but Autechre kind of eclipsed the whopping fourteen minutes of Aphex by dropping eight hours of live insanity shortly after.

Strong release. I dig the music.
First 3 tracks are strong; especially 'Blackbox Life Recorder 21f'.
'Zin2 Test5' has a Windowlicker-ish vibe for me. 'Blackbox Life Recorder 22 (Parallax Mix)' is a "meh" remix.

BUT… $17 for 3 tracks (and 1 remix) totaling just 15 minutes of music in a no-frills cardboard sleeve?! Shrinkflation must be hitting the music industry!

great ep and with the ar app it is just next level, love it.
But i gotta say, the plastic sleeve is really stupid. because the way the packaging works you need the sleeve for the vinyl to stay in place, since otherwise it can just fall out.
But then they use a cheap, disposable one with an annoying glued "flap" and to top it all off, it has a sticker on it that will prevent you from just using a different sleeve. yes you can just carefully take the sticker off and put it on a better sleeve, but for that price and otherwise good attention to detail it is weird that they saved money here.
