Faith No More – The Real Thing

For those who have both, how does this UK pressing compare to the US DMM pressing?

Pretty sure it's just the recording but there is ZERO bass in this

Tough to find an OG vinyl pressing of The Real Thing with "Edge Of The World" on it, and this is about as close as I think I'm going to get. This record sounds great compared to some of the reports of sounding "thin". It's not the beefiest recording, but this pressing seems pretty hot. My preamp usually has to go above 50% for the VU meter to bounce around the 0, but this one less so. Plenty loud. Ok, I just got to Zombie Eaters and it sounds DOPE. Love this pressing.

This sounds fantastic grab a copy if you can for a good price

I picked this up for $40 at a local store as a backup to the MOV reissue. With the yellow color, there’s a cool factor. I’m playing it on an old Vector Research turntable plugged into a Sony receiver with terrible Sanyo speakers, and it sounds fine. If you can find this as your duplicate copy of The Real Thing, go for it.

3rd album from rock band FAITH NO MORE "The real thing" (from 1989) is their first one and the first rock album with distorted heavy guitars and some elements of metal which I heard in the first half of 1991 (it's still one of my favorite albums)!

Are people really thinking this is lacking bass? Given this a good listen now, can’t say I have any issues with this release at all.

This digital reissue (remaster?) sounds great. It sounds like one of those High Dynamic Range editions. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. I can't find any faults at all.

As mentioned the cover art is scanned and incorrect plus the record inner sleeve is in what can only be described as what you put your vegetables in at a super market, a plastic bag, pretty budget indeed. Sounds alright, everything sounds a bit muddled up but it’s not the worst. Don’t spend a lot on it.

Can anyone advise the difference between the 1989 version and the cd released 2015, please? Thanks in advance.
