Notes
General things to look out for in regards of variations are these:
Erika on sleeve, Erika on both labels
Erika on sleeve, no Erika on either label
Erika on sleeve, Erika on A-side label only
Erika on sleeve, Erika on B-side label only
no Erika on sleeve, Erika on both labels
no Erika on sleeve, no Erika on either label
no Erika on sleeve, Erika on A-side label only
no Erika on sleeve, Erika on B-side label only
Other parameters that vary are barcode (printed/sticker/none), insert (yes/none), sleeve (sealed/foldover, non-glossy/high gloss) etc, as well as variations to the vinyl colour.
Erika Sliver 45s were likely pressed between April 1992 and late Summer 1993. They might say 1990 on the artwork, but this is inconsistent with the label area code 310 which didn't go live until later.
Because the blues are quite confusing, here is a classification based on all the fine work John Pette has already done:
Pressing 1a (real first pressing, most probably 3.000 copies): opaque blue (marbled), full fold-over sleeve w/ Sub Pop singles club form attached, this release: Nirvana - Sliver
Pressing 1b: clear blue (straight blue to a teal color), first pressing labels (with no mention of Erika Records), (mostly) second pressing sleeves (bag-style, sealed on three sides, may have Erika Records credits on the back), this release: Nirvana - Sliver
Pressing 2a: light blue w/ black marbling (discussable, there also might be white and red in it), most with second pressing sleeves (bag-style, sealed on three sides, some have Erika Records credits on the back), this release: Nirvana - Sliver
Pressing 2b: clear blue/teal (like 1b but with "Erika Records" on the labels), most with second pressing sleeves (bag-style, sealed on three sides, some have Erika Records credits on the back), this release: Nirvana - Sliver
Pressing 2c: light blue w/ white, black and maybe some red in the marbling, Side A has no Erika text on the label, Side B has Erika text on the label, second pressing sleeves (bag-style, sealed on three sides with Erika Records credits on the back), this release: Nirvana - Sliver
This is 1b again and should be merged with Nirvana - Sliver

Someone said this 7" was heavily bootlegged. I have a black 7" with Sub Pop mailorder form. Can I know this is genuine?

I have the SP73 but none of those post match because mine has with it Polaroid photos of the band. 3 Black and White, one Color. The prior owner must have thumbtacked the photos like I did with football cards as a kid before I knew better. The photos appear to be back when the single was first cut but hard to say. Any pointers would be helpful.

Barebones packaging, no inner sleeve or anything. Sound quality is great for what it is, very loud and punchy -

The single sounds good. You can unfold the cardboard cover. There is no sheet with lyrics -
Poneman is credited with "phone call" on the back cover, but this version does not include the phone call track.
This is a really great sounding record. I've never heard Sliver sound as good, especially. Super bass.

With 20 years in Nirvana collecting and owning more than 30 Slivers I can say that there are only two options:
1. Sub Pop put clear 2nd press blues in leftover 1st press sleeves.
2. Somebody just put a 2nd press blue in a 1st press sleeve (of a rather cheap black e. g.).
I mean I could do option 2 in seconds and whoops, super rare/valueable Sliver instantly in my hands ;-)
That was harsh but I hope you understand what I mean, nobody should pay these high prices for this as it so so easily fabricated and may even be fabricated straight from the start.
Anyway it's safe to say that the rather opaque blue and turquoise ones are 1st press, everything else (i. e. clear/transculent) is 2nd press (in 1st press sleeves at most). -

I have a copy purchased at the Sub Pop Mega Mart around 1993 and I can't find this specific version anywhere. Sleeve is glossy pocket sleeve (no mention of Erika Records) and disc is black with yellow label with "Made In USA by Erica Records 310-926-8992" in an arc along the bottom of the label. Seems simple but this combo has eluded me on here for ages so I wanted to ask. -

Hello, i put some pictures of the singles club form still attached; hope this may help to detect the right pressing. The color is traslucent blue with 2/3 little black spots. No Erika mention. SP-73-A Kdisc ch L-36293 / SP-73-B Kdisc ch L-36293
