Excellent pressing ! IN the beginning and between the song a slight woosh can be heard, but not that serious. Not a single crackle throughout the record. Only con, no inlay with lyrics and credits.

Great album to close out the year 1999. Sound quality is perfect. 💜

Ok guys...Let's be honest...With everything that "The Artist" was going through, and how he was releasing Music, it was long overdue for a "Hit".... Now, I would not say that "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" is a hit, but it did get him back into the limelight...

After striking an album deal with "Arista Records" through "Clive Davis", this album was supposed to lead to very big things...It didn't initially accomplish that, but over the years this album became special to many people...."Clive Davis" suggested to "The Artist" that he could have the same recent success as "Santana", if he had superstar guests on here...."The Artist" decided to give it a try....

It starts off with the "Raving" "Title Track"....

"Undisputed" (feat. "Chuck D" of "Public Enemy", with "Kirk Johnson", "Morris Hayes" and scratches by "Bros. Jules"), is a HYPED UP t....It's not groundbreaking, but it's not that bad either....

The first single in "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold", honestly is the strongest song on the album (the Crown Jewel)....

Then there all the other songs with the guest spots, "Hot Wit U" ("Eve"), "So Far, So Pleased" ("Gwen Stefani" & "Marva King"), "Everyday Is A Winding Road ("3rd Day" & Bassist Extraordinaire "Larry Graham"), "Baby Knows" ("Sheryl Crow"), and "Eye Love U, But Eye Don't Trust U Anymore" (Guitar hero "Ani DiFranco").....These songs are ok, but with all that Superstar Power, it just wasn't all that, like his heart wasn't in it....

Now there are 2 more Crown Jewels....

"Man'O'War" is as close of a "Classic Prince Slow Jam" you are going to get...

Then the "Funky" and funny, "Prettyman" (feat. "James Brown", "P-Funk" alum, "Maceo Parker" on Saxophone) is a perfect album closer....

In theory, this should have been a Multi Platinum effort, but it fell short of that goal...By this time, I believe that "The Artist" had to come to with certain things...

One is the taking back his name in "Prince" (Yes!!!!!!) after his publishing contract finally ran out with "Warner Bros."....After this "Prince" would embark on a journey that many people would respect, but not understand...

Well, I was able to buy this on Vinyl, and I have learned to appreciate it a WHOLE LOT MORE!!!!!!!

My new & sealed copy came with a wavy label on side D, like it got wet and the glue got loose in places. Otherwise the pressing is fine, so it's not too bad from a listening perspective. Of course the collector in me isn't very happy about it. Maybe this is a more common fault of this pressing? Also there are no lyrics included, so that you should keep the CD-version booklet for all the lyrics and more info.

YOU GUYS! Compare this vinyl to any CD or MP3 or wtvr. From the opening whisper of synth, it is superior in every... E V E R Y way. If you need to explain to someone how vinyl is superior to CDs or normal digital s, USE THIS TO DEMONSTRATE. HOLY $#!T. If I didn't know better ( and I do ) I would swear this was remastered in some way. Just. O. M. G. This used to be one of my FAVORITE CDs back in 1999-2005. The vinyl is WAY better. THE FUZZ TONE ON THE BASS HOLY $#!T!!! Sonic textures GALORE.

This Indonesia version has “the artist” on the front side booklet. Pretty rare item

This really is a fantastic mix and pressing. When getting these Orince reissues it’s hard to know what you will get from on release ti another since some are great, some are good, and some are uneventful and just fine. This is a Diamond though, for sure.

Pressing is dead silent, great frequency response, great use of the stereo field, it really live s it up and is head and shoulders above the original CDs. Thus was particularly a surprise for me since I actually got Rave IN2 in the mail first and I was heavily unimpressed with that mix. I figured this one would get the same treatment so I was looking at it as just to fill out my collection. Couldn’t have been more wrong and am entirely thrilled about it. This pressing enhances the original in every imaginable way. Get it.

I recently bought this US pressing. It has a gold promo stamp at the back.
Does this promo also come with an insert with photo, lyrics and credits ??
Or was this insert only included with the regular release?
